Hello everyone,
Who the hell is this dude?
First of all a small intro, where I'm coming from...
My nickname is Piwi2point0 and guess what: I'm the second of his name.
I have been starting to play mmorpg's, since 2001. Guess what, I started with Runescape at launch.
Where the PKing in the wilderness caught my attention. Running into the wilderness gave me almost a heart-attack back in the day. When you got killed and lost your stuff... O men my neighbors, could hear me rage by far.
Probably the reason why we had to move away from there. But to get back on topic. Played Runescape with my in-call network connection. Played a lot of other games, but there were not many MMORPG's back then. If I recall correctly I started to play MU Online. Loved the wings and shiny gear, but the grinds were endless. After that I played SilkRoad Online. D** that was fun, besides the hour less grinding for my NUKE Blader. The hard work payed off once trading goods with Caravans. Bandits had to think twice, before engaging again after the first try. Boy Boy, nostalgic it was.
Also the droprate on rare gear was like buying a lottery. Nowadays they rain to frequent out of the sky. Probably forgot about some of the MMORPG's I played. Well I remember that I started to play Runes of Magic.
I think it still has a hardcore community these days. Well I never returned to it, because it will only ruin my good old time. Runes of Magic was like the dungeon game for me, where I slacked off my school homework for. Just to play that game endlessly. Moron I could hear you think, yes I was a sort of addicted gamer back then.
After Runes of Magic I had a period, where I didn't know what to keep playing. There were not many games that kept my attention. I tried a lot of them and well I didn't grow money on trees. At the age of 14 I started drinking and my eyes opened. Gaming wasn't everything or was it.
Okay here is a small tip: where do you think the word "player" comes from, whenever a girl said it?
Yeah, I could have been that inventor. Unfortunately I was not, nevertheless I called myself Player One.
Okay, at some point I started to play WoW and I was like WOW I have been missing this the whole time and now it feels outdated. Yup after 7months of subscription I cancelled and it was time for another game Guild Wars(series). Hopping towards one another, in the end there was ESO. Played for a couple months and I was like, it's time for a New Generation MMORPG with a innovative gameplay system...
My gaming style through time
One of my favourite playing styles is being a heavy hitter (DD = Damage Dealer) and finish the kill. That satisfaction of that hard work coming to an end. It's almost like sex... but lets not go there. Damage Over Time builds, love them for PvP builds most of the time.
In my younger days I always went for tanker or healer, back then you had to team up otherwise your party gets A** KICKED. Everyone was a mage and tankers and decent healers were always short. Guess who sacrificed himself...
Nowadays I like Necromancers, because it makes me feel like a little puppeteer. Manipulation the death, who doesn't want that. Then again I'm sort of a "edge lord" and people hate me for it. Taking enough range to take on an enemy and keep enough distance to get dragged into being hardly damaged. Then I also like pulling flocks of mobs and end them all at once, while spamming the hell out of pots and make use of every available usefull buff as possible.
Than we have the NO-CLASS MMORPG's, HELL YEAH! I owe you a BLOG about this...
The present and future
I sticked to ESO for the last year or so and while it was time for a fresh new age MMO I bestowed upon New World. After seeing lots of companies that were already over there Company capacity I decided to start "United Aeternum Company". Recruiting seems to go smoothly, hopefully my members cope with me to the bitter ends of time. We are looking forward to play the game and I personally done quite some research. Guess you could say I'm sort of hyped. The company has as main goal fun, I can hear you think that's what all losers will say. Without fun my question is to you: What else, n'espresso?
For New World I'm mostly looking forward to the combat, it looks very dynamical and challenging and this is what I'm partially looking for in a MMO. This game may actually feed my hunger for the next decade or so. After hearing about the delay, I was rattled and disappointed. But hey!!! Shit happens during this Carona-crisis and luckily we are still healthy and behind the computer. We have power and internet, what else do you need?
A winning lottery ticket for starters...
Hopefully I didn't bore you with my BLOG and its time for you to wake up!
I wish you all a good day and stay tuned for another more relevant BLOG.
P.S. I host New World Quizzes for more info head to the Events Page!
Kind regards,
Piwi2point0
